BSA Gold Star 500

1959 BSA Gold Star Competition Roadster. Purchased in California, Ex Hap Alzina. Fitted with factory supplied '56 DBD34 Rigid Racing engine. Restored in 1970 using genuine BSA parts, with very little use since. Retains it's Competition Magneto, fitted with a 389 monobloc carb and Catalina gearbox, it makes it a great useable bike to ride. Racing spec forks by Frank USA. Interchangeable rear sprocket. The legendary BSA Gold Star wiped the floor with outstanding sporting successes in virtually every field. In Great Britain, US, and many other countries, it was available for fast road use and could be used for competitive week end racing with little or no alteration. Possibly the best all rounder motorcycle ever made.
