1951 Triumph 650cc 6T Thunderbird. Bonneville Salt Flats Land Speed Racer. AMA official records confirm this bike raced in the 650 M-VG Class held at the 2008 International Speed Trials by BUB on the Bonneville Salt Flats Utah. Also competed in 1995. British built & entered. Bearing appropriate Scrutineers qualifying, inspection & competing stickers. Comes with two engines, both salt flats veterans. Spare Race Engine (with spare crankcase). presently fitted in bike running spot on, crisp & sharp. Ready for next time out. Actual record breaking Race engine just Rebuilt, race ready, see pictures below. Lightened & balanced crankshaft, Carrillo Conrods, 11-1 Pistons, Morgo Oil pump, Megacycle Cams, Crank Case reworked. Bespoke twin carb Flowed Iron Head with special inlets.'K' Lined Bronze Valve guides, new Valve seat inserts & T140 springs. New Bearings throughout. Overhauled correct period Lucas Racing Magneto + Spare Lucas Competition Mag. Gearbox serviced & Tested. Comes with a braked Front wheel set up with tyre, mudguard, matching brake lever & cable.
